Hardcover, undated as was common with many Talbot Press titles, this is a volume (published with matching designs with the other unrelated titles) in the 'New Era Library' by the Talbot press.
Green cloth covers, titles in gilt to spine, publsiher name in gilt at base of spine is faded, and the 'new era library is blindstamped on spine and front coversalso.
Small crack/ split to upper edge of spine.
the subtitle is ' from the twenties to our own day . meaning the 1820's in this isntance, the author examines the early proto socialist movements in Ireland such as the Ralahine experiment in Clare, early unions and guild movements, and the rise of Irish Labour under Connolly and Larkin.
