Product Description
Hold That Thought is a collection of short stories sparked by vivid recollections and the discovery of a wonderful new café in the restored pavilion of the old Dún Laoghaire Baths. While it encompasses fiction and history, the writing is mainly creative, while also having some factual input. Although there is no over-riding common theme, certain tropes repeat throughout the book. Call it an assortment if you will, but the variety is deliberate and designed to appeal across a broad spectrum. Irish settings such as Dún Laoghaire (Kingstown), Dublin City and the West of Ireland, provide familiar local grounds, with New York and the Algarve as international settings. Birds are a prominent feature of the illustrations, which draw on the author's photographic experience.
